Centrum recyklačních a odpadových kompetencí s.r.o. (CROK), is a professional platform that connects the knowledge and needs of the waste and packaging industry. It builds on the experience of its members and partners, but also brings something extra - effective cooperation, thanks to which there is faster sharing of knowledge, deepening of competences and development of solutions that help move the entire sector forward.

It actively participates in the development of the packaging, waste and recycling industry not only in the Czech Republic - with a clear vision: to support the transition to a circular economy that makes sense economically, ecologically and technically.

CROK provides professional advice, organizes seminars and training, creates technical concepts, prepares economic assessments, waste and packaging analyses and recyclability analyses - and creates methodologies that help in practice.

CROK is among only 4 authorized entities in Europe that have certification for testing the sortability of packaging in accordance with the methodology RecyClass, as part of the packaging recyclability assessment process.

The founders of the platform are Ing. Petr Balner, Ph.D. and Ing. Martin Doležal.

Petr has dedicated his entire professional career to the development of packaging waste sorting and recycling, both in the Czech Republic and internationally. 

Martin and Petr also participated in the preparation and processing of the Waste Management Plan of the Czech Republic for the period 2025–2035. The plan represents a key document for the implementation of a long-term strategy for managing waste, packaging waste and end-of-life products.
