Jan Maršák

Jan Maršák is a graduate of the PhD programme at the Faculty of Environmental Technology of the University of Chemical Technology in Prague and the Faculty of Political Science/Sociology at the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University in Brno.

Since 2003, he has been working at the Ministry of the Environment (MoE) in various positions, and is currently the Director of the Waste Department of the MoE. His professional activities focus on European legislation for waste and circular management, waste and circular management strategies of the Czech Republic, waste and circular management legislation of the Czech Republic. He is responsible for the preparation of new legislation for waste, packaging and single-use plastics. He publishes professional articles mainly on waste and circular management issues.
